Dr Stephen Morse

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Business Development | Strategic Partnerships


With over twenty five years' leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector including local church leadership, education and training, humanitarian work, and social entrepreneurship, both in Australia and abroad, Stephen brings an engaging and refreshing perspective to fight against modern slavery. 


Known for his depth of insight, unique perspective and engaging presence, Stephen draws upon lessons learnt from his practical experience as a leader, and also his work in academic research. He also uses his cross-cultural leadership experience to help develop critical skills in a global marketplace. 


Stephen currently serves on the advisory board of the Freedom Business Alliance. 

Sarah morse

Sarah is an inspirational speaker, writer, and masterful storyteller, who is passionate about helping people. She helps individuals and companies reach their potential through positive engagement with their core values and due diligence on human rights issues. 


Sarah establishes an energetic rapport with her audience and inspires them to discover impactful solutions. As Young Australian of the Year (NSW, 2004), Sarah is known for her commitment to a socially sustainable future.


Sarah brings the 'why' to making an impact on modern slavery. Through our initial workshops, Sarah's stories and insights encourage clients to think about leading beyond compliance, to engaging with the reality of modern slavery.

Snr Supply Chain Consultant

Risk Assessment | Improvement Strategy Lead


Talita has more than ten years of experience in Supply Chain and Logistics in large companies in Brazil and Australia. She is a very motivated and flexible person with logical and strategic thinking and excellent problem-solving skills. 


Through Unchained, Talita consults on the risk of modern slavery and assists in the deep dive investigation service and supplier engagement, ensuring a collaborative approach to reducing the impact of modern slavery on supply chains. 


Currently, Talita also is researching "The role of Logistics 4.0 in Modern Slavery" as a PhD student at the University of Wollongong.

katie Bjorem

Social Impact Consultant

Systems | Social Impact Strategy Advisor | Remediation


Katie Bjorem is an experienced operations manager, with proven success in scaling from startup to SME while managing multiple regions. She is passionate about the potential for businesses to be a vanguard for social justice. 


Previously, Katie was the International Operations Manager with Outland Denim, a premium denim brand founded to provide training and employment for women who had experienced exploitation, she oversaw operations enabling 300% growth of Outland Denim's Cambodian team.

 

With a special interest in merging business goals with social impact indicators, Katie's role at Unchained focuses on innovating processes to streamline systems, ensuring both the individual and the company thrives.

Senior Business Advisor

Governance | Accounting | Business Planning


Cathy is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and Consultant with extensive experience successfully scaling organisations. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a fellow at the Institute of Chartered Secretaries in Australia/Governance Institute in Australia and has performed senior roles roles at APAC, the TMF Group, and EY. 

Cathy provides Unchained structural and organisational advise, as well as assistance in financial modelling and accounting. 


Her passion for making an impact on modern slavery stems from her volunteer work with RAW Impact in Cambodia and her support of the IJM Australia.

JASMINE DICKSON

Project Coordinator

E-Learning Training Products | Social Impact Strategy


Jasmine is a recent post-graduate from University of Wollongong in International Relations and International Relations. She has a keen eye for detail and looks for ways to ensure the work of Unchained is relevant and current with the needs of its customers. 


Jasmine works with Unchained to assist in the development of its e-learning training products and social impact strategy. 

Zairul nurshazana zainuddin

Macquarie University PhD Research Partner

Modern Slavery Statement Reviews


Zairul is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia with 8 years of teaching experience in the Professional and Bachelor program.  For the last 2 years, she taught Strategic Business Reporting and Financial Reporting for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) program. 


Zairul possesses a Master of Accountancy and a Professional Accounting qualification of ACCA, UK. She did her internship at Ernst & Young Malaysia in 2006 then worked as an Audit Assistant for 4 years at the National Audit Department of Malaysia starting from 2007. The offer to pursue her Doctoral degree at Macquarie University with a scholarship is a way forward to progress her academic career profession.  


Through her partnership with Unchained, Zairul is researching the corporate response to the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), through analysing Modern Slavery Statements and conducting qualitative research.

BRIANA GROSVENOR

Briana has a passion for social justice and experience in mission trips to support marginalised communities through accredited sponsorship programs with NGOs. Briana joined the Unchained team in February 2022 as an intern to gain experience in marketing and communications with a view to building a purpose-led career that  contributes to advancing a global awareness of human rights violations including breaking the cycle of Modern Slavery.’

warrick meehan

Healthcare Research Intern

Warrick is a recent Master of International Relations graduate from the Australian National University. Warrick is working with Unchained Solutions to develop a framework for Health Service workers to identify victims of modern slavery. This comes with his experience of working in the aged care sector and teaching abroad. Ultimately hoping to use the skills honed at Unchained Solutions to encourage positive change in the world. Warrick’s other passions include International Relations in the Asia region and chasing cats.  

Gabriela costa

Data Analysis Intern

As a Production Engineer, I have experience providing data visualisation and analysis for business insights with a strong focus on customer service and building quality relationships with stakeholders. I am so grateful for this opportunity, I am excited to bring my critical thinking and positive attitude to facilitate data driven decisions.
